During their conversation, Ajith was asked about the beginning of his and Shalini's love story. Inresponse to the same, Ajith revealed that he worked with Shalini for the first time in the film, Amarkalam (1999), and it was then they fell in love. Ajith further shared that it was a 'love at first sight' moment for him, as he was stunned by Shalini's beauty and grace.

Further in his revelation, Ajith Kumar revealed that he accidentally cut Shalini's wrist while they were filming a scene, but both of them were completely unaware of it. The actor further added that it was when blood started flowing down her veins that he realised that he had cut her wrist. The actress was admitted to the hospital immediately, and it was Ajith, who handled the situation with utmost care.

Ajith Kumar's concern and care melted Shalini's heart, and soon after this incident, they started dating.
